- Controlling the External Skelp Submerged Arc Welding activities on Production Mill
- Controlling the Preparation for the Skelp joint gouging operation (Arc-Air)
- Ensuring the Welding is accurately and centrally aligned to the Joint
- Ensure good quality, defect free welds are produced
- Following the approved skelp welding procedure for the weld
- Checking the levels of wire and flux are sufficient for welding the joint
- Informing Line Supervisor of any Welding Machinery Issues
- Ensuring Equipment is operated efficiently and safely
- Monitor General House Keeping in theare.
