Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Aircraft Powerplant Systems Technical Services
  • Knowledge on Aircraft Design, Operation, Maintenance, Documents and Airworthiness related legislations.
  • Hold a Training Records including (A320 Type Rating and other training Courses in the area of expertise)
  • Knowledge of the Aviation Industry and its Safety and Compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Maintenance Tracking Programs (e.g. AMOS, TRAX or RUSADA? preferred?).
  • Willingness to learn and to experience further education and training.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Self-orientated and safety-conscious attitude.
  • Excellent Communication and Interaction Skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

Task Description:

  • Operate at special mission in accordance with the SGA Maintenance Management Manual/Maintenance Control Manual Policies & procedures.
  • Apply countermeasures and cost reduction solutions for the organization within the area of expertise.
  • Managing issues and queries related to the Aircraft Powerplant Systems.
  • Liaising with maintenance organisations.
  • Liaising with type certificate holders (TCHs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) regarding Aircraft Maintenance Programme queries, Defect Rectifications, Design Modifications and Aircraft Reliability within the area of expertise
  • Provide Engineering support in development of Maintenance Programmes.
  • Assessing incoming Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, Modifications Associated with Maintenance Programmes within the area of expertise and create Engineering Orders accordingly.
  • Identification of obsolescence issues as appropriate and work with the Engineering Manager to provide a resolution.
  • Provide Engineering support to the Head of Engineering Departments.
  • Ensure compliance with Local and International Regulations within their area of responsibility.
  • Meeting or exceeding key performance targets.
  • Maintain a relationship with the Part 145 Maintenance Organisations.
  • Perform other Engineering duties that are requested by Engineering Manager.
  • Report to Engineering manager all issues concerning Aircraft Systems, Components and products during maintenance and operation.
  • Liaise with Planning and Maintenance Teams for Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB) for accomplishment based on analysis of airline maintenance operations and financial cost-benefit analysis.
  • Provide recommendations for any changes that impact airplane flight operations.
  • Maintain and manage airline equipment baseline, part number changes and part number interchange ability for all aircraft enrolled in Fleet Management Services.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to MCC and maintenance as required including root cause analysis during operation (including AOG?s).
  • Perform aircraft system diagnostic and prognostic monitoring of each aircraft and make recommendations for corrective actions necessary to avoid Unscheduled Maintenance and ?No Fault Found? events (NFF).
  • Evaluate and initiate follow-up action for Reliability Report Alert levels.
  • Maintain Airworthiness Directive, Service Bulletin and Modifications database.
  • Provide Engineering Support during Aircraft Entry into Service and Certificate of Airworthiness Renewals (Airworthiness/Modifications Records Reviews, Data induction/Updates in Tracking System).
  • Manage Engines/APUs Shop visit Projects
  • Monitor Engine/APU Health via OEM web-based tools and provide Engineering recommendations on daily basis
