Job Summary: Within the Mission, Vision and Values of HMC, the position holder will assist in the implementation of the HMC Radiology Information System (RIS) /Picture Archive & Communication System (PACS) and related radiology department workflow redesign. Post implementation, the position holder will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operation of the RIS/PACS as relates to the operational activities of the radiology program across all facilities. This will include, but not be limited to, imaging workflow monitoring, issues resolution and exception handling, and operational support and training for Radiology Department staff (medical and non-medical).

Essential Education: Bachelor Degree (or recognized equivalent tertiary qualification) in a relevant technical discipline such as Diagnostic Radiography or Nuclear Medicine Technology.

Essential Experience: 5 years post graduate experience. Clinical expertise at the level of Senior Radiology Technologist, with practical experience in the department of a RIS/PACS and post implementation RIS/PACS administration.

Specific/Technical/Functional Competencies: Demonstrates strong working knowledge of:

  •  Working knowledge of DICOM and HL7 messaging, PC’s, network infrastructure and web technology.
  • Report preparation and analysis.
  • Experience in the implementation of radiology information systems and PACS, and post implementation monitoring and management.
