- Strong command of English and Math/Science competencies. Previous relevant Lab experience is essential and good knowledge of LIMS will be advantageous. Valid driver's license and ability to pass requirements for operating company vehicles is a requirement.
- 10 yrs exp in oil/gas sampling, water treatment.
Job Description:
- Performs advanced specialized laboratory examinations, analyses, evaluations, studies and/or investigations to gather technical data. Usually is a highly proficient specialist in his area of experience and provides technical expertise in own area of work and experience.
- Makes interpretations and correlations of basic data as required to make a complete and comprehensive analysis and assists Science Specialists and Senior Scientists in reviewing and interpreting analytical data.
- Prepares comprehensive reports for discussion with his work director, utilizes computers especially LIMS frequently, to assist in data manipulation. Serves as a technical reference for other non-professional laboratory technicians.
- Carries out or directs others in the performance of laboratory type examinations, analyses, evaluations and/or investigations requiring competency in applying the fundamental principles of a laboratory science such as, but not limited to, chemistry, analytical testing, microbiology and similar sciences. Will be required to perform relatively complex laboratory analyses and sampling tasks, use sophisticated equipment and instrumentation where necessary.
