Candidates must have at least Vocational Diploma / Short Course Certificate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To ensure proper charging of the scarp using Bari to push the scrap into furnace open and eliminate scrap stucking in furnace mouth and make sure that charged scrap feeding is done in a speeded dese way
To carry out all activities as per the instruction manual and or as advised by the Melter Shift/ incharge / IF superintendent
To perform all charging process well within the norms/ guide lines given.
To charge furnace with scrap material and helping charging car operator to enter the scrap into furnace and then to the tapping.
To ensure proper operations the charging car if required.
INSPECTION OF furnace lining and help in maintenance if there is small damage even in spout or in top lining
Inspection of furnace area equipments for its smooth operation.
As and when required taking chemical sample from molten metal and temperature checking under Melter supervision.
During production .checking of scrap and removing all unsuitable materials from it.
To keep proper co-ordination with Shift incharge and furnace melter / for any problem / stoppage to avoid frequent stoppage of furnace as possible.
NO FURNACE OPERATIONS WITH ANY PROCESS AND PROCESS PARAMETER DEVIATIONS UNTIL UNLESS INFORMED BY THE AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL.
To carry out any refractory / patching work within the area as and when required as per the guide lines.
If any problem / deviations in the process must be communicate to Shift supervisor & record.
Maintaining scrap flow from charging car to furnace mouth and make sure that charged scrap feeding is done in a speeded dese way
dhere to safety rules and regulations.
Maintain good housekeeping within the area and workplace.
