Experience
BPharm with 6 years experience in Clinical Pharmacy in HMC
Bpharm + HMC approved Clinical Pharmacy program with 5 years experience in clinical pharmacy.
Diploma with 4 years experience in Clinical Pharmacy
Preferred
MSc or Pharm D with 3 years experience in Clinical Pharmacy

Computer Skills
Advanced computer skills allowing making reports, research proposals, presentations, statistic analysis etc. as well as advanced skills in search techniques on the Internet.

International recognized qualification

Language Skills
Very good/excellent knowledge of English (written and oral). Good knowledge of Arabic is an asset especially for interaction with local patients.

Principal Accountabilities:
1-Provides clinical pharmacy services to selected patient care unit (in and/or outpatient)
that requires specialized pharmacotherapeutic care and practice expertise.

§ Reviewing of patients medication therapy for appropriateness (including screening for duplicate prescribing, drug-drug and drug-food interaction, drug disease contraindications, patient compliance), adverse drug reaction (ADR) detection and reporting, pharmacokinetic evaluation of serum drug levels ( i.e. therapeutic drug monitoring or TDM), participating in ward rounds with medical staff to recommend drug therapy modifications (i.e. changes in drug, dose, route or timing of administration and duration of treatment).
§ Collaborating with the medical team to facilitate prescription writing, ensuring transfer/discharge prescription orders are accurate and complete by reviewing them against initial/inpatient orders provide individualized patient and staff education to enhance compliance and to help patients make the best use of their medications and to prevent adverse drug events.
2-Identifies educational needs in the area of pharmaceutical care for healthcare
providers and patients.
3-Identifies and provides educational services about drug therapy and pharmacy services
to members of the medical ,nursing and pharmacy staff and members of the public.
4-Provides training and educational needs for clinical, residents, and intern pharmacists.

5-Evaluates clinical pharmacy needs in assigned working area, detects problems, and
implements solutions.
6-Draws up protocol/guidelines for drug use in relevant areas.
7-Prepares the annual evaluation reports of the staff performance.
8-Initiates clinical oriented research projects such as drug use evaluation (DUE)
and drug use review (DUR).
9-Facilitates clinical discussions intended to resolve unique patient care issues.
