Basic Function

GIVE BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE PRIMARY PURPOSE(S) OF THE JOB.

  • Performs a large variety of duties in a multiple roll position as a Butler/Man Servant/Cook in the homes of Corporate Management as so directed by the members of the family he serves and his Unit Supervisor.

Scope

INDICATE AS APPROPRIATE SIZE, GEOGRAPHIC AREA, PLANT EQUIPMENT THROUGHPUT, ORGANIZATIONS SERVED, FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, AUTHORITY, AND SUPERVISION RECEIVED, WHICH RELATE TO THE JOB.

  • Uniformed position that will entail the performance of general housekeeping duties, the preparation and service of meals and snacks, a variety of personal services for the Corporate family, and the preventive maintenance of the facility and the equipment, all of which shall be expected to be done to the highest of standards, with awareness and tact, and with a minimum of direct supervision.

Principal Contacts

INCLUDE PURPOSE, FREQUENCY AND SIGNIFICANCE TO SAUDI ARAMCO.

  • Will have daily contact with the Corporate Management family and their guests that he serves. Will have regular contact with the Executive Facilities Supervisor, and other members of his staff. Will have regular contact with members of the Community
  • Maintenance Department in the maintenance of his facility and equipment.

Principal Duties

DESCRIBE CONCISELY EACH PRINCIPAL WORK ACTIVITY LISTED IN A LOGICAL ORDER; NORMALLY, THE ORDER WILL BE TO LIST THE MOST IMPORTANT DUTY FIRST. INCLUDE IMPORTANT DECISIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS MADE, IF APPLICABLE. FOR SINGLE APPILICATION JOBS INDICATE APPROXIMATE PERCENT OF TIME SPENT ACCOUNTING FOR AT LEAST 75% OF TOTAL TIME. START SENTENCES WITH ACTION VERBS. PLEASE INDICATE THE PERCENTAGE OF TIME AGAINST EACH PRINCIPAL DUTY.

  • Prepares full meals and light snacks as required for the family he serves.
  • Purchases food and supplies for the facility as so directed.
  • Answers the telephone or takes detailed messages and accurately relays all messages to the appropriate family member.
  • Washes, irons and presses clothes as required.
  • Delivers to and retrieves clothing from the laundry/dry cleaners.
  • Polishes shoes as required.
  • Changes bedroom/bathroom linen on a daily basis or as required.
  • Handles incoming and outgoing luggage.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties as required such as: (1) the sweeping, washing, scouring, polishing and waxing of various types of floors; (2) maintains bathrooms at a high sanitary standard; (3) washes interior and exterior windows; (4) vacuums floors, rugs, furniture, drapes, blinds and walls; (5) polishes assorted silverware and other metal items; (6) empties and cleans ash trays; (7) moves and arranges furniture; (8) assists in the delivery, set-up and breakdown of special function furniture; (9) assists in the service of various special functions; (10) tends and maintains house-plants; (11) maintains the facility in a neat, sanitary and orderly manner.
  • Routinely checks for any electrical, mechanical or plumbing problems and for any damage to the furniture, equipment or to the facility and reports these problems as instructed to his appropriate superiors.
  • Performs a wide variety of other miscellaneous duties as required or as so directed by members of the family or by his unit supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

A- EDUCATION - DEGREES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIRED; B- PREREQUISTE

WORK EXPERIENCE IN ADDITION TO EDUCATION; C- OTHER.

A. COMPLETION OF ITC: ENGLISH: E4; MATH, M3.

B. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Five (5) YEARS.

  • Education: Must have completed six (6) years of documented academic training.
  • Capable of speaking, understanding, reading and writing in the English language to the level of good.
  • Successfully completed a full medical examination by an approved physician that allows him to function as a food handler.
  • Has at least (3) years of experience as a hotel floor attendant, an estate/family butler.
  • Capable of demonstrating knowledge of and the ability to prepare and serve a large variety of meals/snacks/appetizers/beverages in a sanitary and tasteful manner.
  • Is well-groomed, neat in appearance, tactfully aware and capable of diplomatically handling a variety of situations concerning the family and their guests.
  • Must wear the uniform that was selected for this position.
  • Must be willing to work long and flexible hours as scheduled.
  • Must be physically strong to handle the demands of the position.
