Due to continue growth our client is seeking Diesel Motor Mechanics – Agricultural Equipment to join the company to conduct workshop repairs who have experience and specialise in repairs, maintains and tests vehicle or other engines and related mechanical components in agricultural machinery.

Candidates will be working on machinery brands such as, New Holland, John Deere and Case. The majority of the work carried out is on machinery that is over 100 HP and up to 600HP, tractors, combine harvesters and chemical spray rigs. This role will be both workshop based as well as some in field work.

NOTE: candidates must have worked on agricultural equipment and tractors as the position is for a Diesel Motor Mechanic and you will be required to work on agricultural equipment.

Heavy Vehicle Mobile Equipment (Job Duties):

Essential Skills

• Carry out service operations and diagnostic procedures of mobile equipment
• Repair starting and charging systems
• Service and repair electronic drive management system
• Carry out repairs to a single electrical circuit
• Inspect, service and/or repair clutch assemblies and associated operating system components
• Inspect, repair and service transmissions (manual, automatic and hydrostatic)
• Repair final drive assemblies
• Inspect, service and repair cooling systems
• Inspect and repair engine forced induction systems
• Repair and replace emission control systems
• Service and repair diesel fuel injection systems
• Synchronise plant/equipment
• Inspect, service and repair steering systems
• Inspect service and repair suspension systems
• Inspect, service and repair tracked type drive and support systems
• Remove, inspect and repair wheel assemblies
• Inspect service and repair hydraulic and air braking systems
• Install and repair hydraulic systems to specific applications
• Manufacture and install fluid power hose assemblies
• Perform Risk Assessments on tasks, maintaining and focusing on safe work practices and a safe work environment

Desirable:

• Possess Mechanical Qualifications - Trade certificate or on the job-training as a Diesel Motor Mechanic
• 5 + years’ work experience with the following heavy mobile equipment: New Holland, John Deere and Case. The majority of the work carried out is on machinery that is over 100 HP and up to 600HP, tractors, combine harvesters and chemical spray rigs.
• Must have High Level Diagnostic Skills
• Current driver's license essential – must be Professional
• Strong English Language Skills
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Overseas experience is highly regarded
