·          Shall have Diploma or Industrial Training Institutes certificate in instrumentation.

·         Knowledge of English Language (speak, read & writing)

·         Minimum five years experience as an Instrument Fitter/Technician in a Petrochemical, Polymer & Steel Plants

·         Must be able to demonstrate ability to perform independent work normally performed by this craft such as:

a.       Bend tubing which includes the ability to measure and calculate all take offs on bends.

b.      Read flow charts and mechanical flow diagrams.

c.       Ability to run tubing tray.

d.      Ability to run small pipe ½ inch to 1 inch. Tube ¼ - ¾ and to use all the necessary tools to complete the job.

e.      Ability to field measure and then install equipment and all needed tubing, tray and piping.

f.        Be familiar with all standard practices used by the instrument fitting craft.

g.       Be familiar with instrument calibration, servicing & troubleshooting of most of the instruments.

h.      Ability to climb and work at elevated heights

i.         Ability to read and recognize the shutdown & interlock system.

j.        Ability to Analyze all open and close loop signals and trace it out

k.       Have the ability to overhaul any type of control valve.

l.         Ability to read instrument loop diagrams and P&ID’s

m.    Ability to write technical reports about equipment repaired.

n.      Have the ability to use any kind of smart communicator.

o.      Have the ability to tune pneumatic controllers.
