Qualifications:

• Successfully completed secondary education.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in the air Cargo Handling/ Operations Industry, with working knowledge of cargo build up, break down, acceptance, delivery and documentation procedures.
• Certification in basic Cargo and Dangerous Goods Handling courses.
• Good knowledge of Personal Computers and Cargo Handling systems.
• Good communication skills in both spoken and written English.

Task Description:

• Performs the build-up and breakdown of Cargo/ courier/mail and ensure swift and safe movement of cargo, courier and mail loads.
• Inspects, counts and validates the goods/parcels at every point of breakdown/build-up and delivery/acceptance, ensuring that goods are correctly received or dispatched in accordance within established service standards.
• Processes all associated documentation (manually/through automated systems) relating to the shipments of courier/mail.
• Ensures that all shipments of restricted articles are properly handled and processed in full compliance with the current edition of the IATA DGR and are loaded accordingly.
• Accepts and delivers Cargo, courier and mail from / to the customers, which requires a high degree of attentiveness, speed and with a very high degree of accuracy.
• Monitors and ensures joining loads and arriving loads of Cargo, Courier and Mail are properly handled by the GHAs at various processing stages at the Ramp through co-ordination.
