Job Information - Production Technician
Principal/Project:Australia
Proposed Salary:negotiable
Job Description and Requirements
  • Installation, assembly, maintenance and testing for slinging and rigging equipment
  • Maintenance of plant and machinery
  • Design and manufacture/assemble of rigging and lifting equipment to client requirements
  • Conduct inspection and testing of all types of structural and mechanical equipment.
  • Conduct inspection and testing (mechanical and visual where applicable) of lifting equipment, including chain blocks, lever blocks, slings, chains, shackles, fittings etc,
  • Collect and analyse data, and assemble and install mechanical assemblies
  • Produce inspection reports and maintain database of all inspection and repairs after testing has been done.
  • Operate fixed and mobile test facilities
  • Conduct maintenance of machines and plant – maintain site equipment and vehicle inventory
  • Ensure designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions
  • Provide input regarding matters that may affect the safety and health of all employees as well as the environment
  • Attend all required HSE training sessions and complete all the necessary paperwork as requested
  • Awareness of Occupational Health and Safety procedures
Qualifications and Experience
  • Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3+ years experience as a mechanical/hydraulic technician
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Must have experience in Non Destructive Testing andMagnetic Particle Inspection Testing
