Job Description and Requirements
 Our client is a leading Western Australian property development company offering innovative, affordable and quality land and home packages with a solid track record and a property portfolio worth more than $400 million. Due to and expanding growth in the real estate market in Western Australia the client is seeking to employ 4 x Painters to join their strong team of employees across Western Australia.
Painter Job Duties:

Essential:
  • erecting scaffolding and ladders, and placing drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint splattering
  • preparing surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fixing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces
  • selecting and preparing paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying additives
  • applying paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
  • hanging wallpaper, matching patterns and trimming edges
  • cleaning equipment and work areas
Qualifications and Experience
  • Trade Qualifications as a Painter – commercial or residential
  • 5+ years of work experience as a painter working on commercial and residential projects

  • Commitment to safety and quality
  • Ability to carry out work with minimal supervision
Desirable:
  • Internal - Walls, doors, mouldings, shelving etc.
  • External- steel columns and channels, meter box etc.- - textured coating to walls
Working Conditions : 
  • The successful applicant will be reporting to the Site Supervisor.
  • Candidate will be working and living on a mine site in north-west of Western Australia
  • This is a 10 hour working day, 5 days a week
  • Salary will range from $30-$35 per hour (depending on experience and skills)
  • Accommodation will be partially subsidized by the company
