Job Information - SCADA Supervisor
Principal/Project:Qatar General Electricity
Job Description and Requirements

Core Functions :

Supervises and manages (8) hour shift in National Water Control Center as potable water is received from all Water Producers (QEWC & RLPC) inclusive of the operations of at least 15 nos. water reservoir stations by remote control which are located in Doha & its suburbs and the efficient distribution of the water supply to the consumers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities :

  1. Maintains the smooth operation of National Water Control Center.

  2. In-charge of the 8-hour shift in the National Water Control Center covering several Reservoir/Pumping Stations.

  3. Coordinates with the Water Producers regarding the water production, forwarding, MSFEs & Pipe line outages.

  4. Gathers daily data and all information from Desalination and Reservoir Stations including status of distillers.

  5. Records daily activities in Water SCADA System and in all reservoir stations.

  6. Prepares Daily Report (Res. Stock, Production, Forwarding, Distribution, Average timing, Plant status) and others activities.

  7. Coordinates with the Res. Shift Pump Operators and Desalination Plants’ Control Room staff regarding any change in the system of operation.

  8. Informs the concerned Water Control Engineer regarding any problem affecting the efficient operation of the system like main line breakage and pumping outage through SMS/telephone.

  9. Informs Water Control Engineer regarding any problems that arise during the 8-hour shift duty.

  10. Prepares data on the preceding 24 hours for the morning daily report of production, forwarding & distribution figures

Performs other related duties as needed upon request by the immediate supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibility :

Supervises the National Water Control Center and coordinates with the Call Center on complaints & pipe breakages.
