HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANICS
Job Duties may include:
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Check heavy construction equipment for proper performance.
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks
Experience and Education:
Experience with large truck engines, automatic transmissions and hydraulics is an asset
Education is an asset
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining a clean work area and operate tools and equipment in a safe, responsible and proper manner
- Abiding by the company’s safety program and procedures
- Providing quality work
