Automotive Mechanics
Skill Requirements:
Education: Not required
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Languages: Speak English, Write English
Area of Specialization: Electrical and electronic systems, Diagnostics, Alignment, steering and suspension, Brake systems, Fuel and emission systems, Ignition and electrical systems
Automotive Service Technician Specific Skills: Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications, Perform scheduled maintenance service
Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills: Inspect and test mechanical units, Repair and replace mechanical units
Additional Skills: Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor, Complete reports to record problems and work performed
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Hand-eye co-ordination
Essential Skills: Oral communication, Working with others, Decision making, Job task planning and organizing
Other Information:Willing to work overtime and weekends. Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies. Camp accommodation and meals provided.
