Our Client in Australia is urgently in need of

• A Vehicle Painter removes rough spots on vehicle panels and sand surfaces using hand or power tools; carries out masking procedures; colour matches and mixes paints; applies primer and finishing coats and polishes and waxes the finished paint work. Other tasks undertaken by a vehicle painter include paint rectification, touchup work and preparing the vehicle for customer use. To do this, vehicle painters rely on a wide range of tools, including hand, electrical and air operated power tools, precision measuring tools and equipment, together with computer aided paint colour matching and measuring equipment.
• Vehicle Painters are usually employed by specialist auto body repair workshops or vehicle dealerships. These work environments can range from small workshops which undertake a variety of repair jobs to larger shops or those that specialise in a particular make of vehicle.
• Common units (Apply safe working practices; Implement and monitor environmental regulations and best practice in the body repair industry; Use and maintain workplace tools and equipment
• Body preparation (Carry out panel repairs; Remove and replace/fit protector moulding, transfers and decals; Carry out denibbing, buffing and polishing)
• Paint preparation (Apply paint removal methods; Carry out masking procedures; Prepare spray painting materials and equipment; Prepare vehicle components for paint repairs; Prepare vehicle/components/equipment for customer use; Prepare spray boot and paint drying equipment; Prepare substrate for refinishing)
• Paint application (Apply acrylic lacquer refinishing methods; Apply fundamental colour matching techniques; Apply rust prevention and sound deadening techniques; Apply solid acrylic enamel refinishing materials (2 component system); Apply clear over base refinishing materials (2 component system); Apply air dry and polyurethane enamel refinishing; Apply clear over base multi layer/pearl refinishing; Apply water base refinishing materials; Apply multi layer/clear over base colour matching; Apply solid colour matching techniques; Prepare and paint plastic components)
• Paint repairs (Apply paint touch up techniques; Carry out paint rectification and touch up work for solids (2 component system); Carry out paint rectification and touch up work for clear base (2 component system); Carry out paint rectification and touch up work for multi layer/pearl (2 component system))

General Requirements:

• Male; 43 yrs old below; Fit to work
• 6 years work experienced as VEHICLE SPRAY PAINTER
• Work abroad experienced is an advantage
