Job Description and Requirements

Job Title

 Cable Technician

Job Description and Responsibilities

 

 

 

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance routines related to OSP network elements, record and evaluate results and correct or initiate remedy works

submit proposal including tech details, drawings, BOQ, new design & price for cable relocation

Carry out any short term/temp solutions of fiber cut repair

 support for 3rd party MDT, traffic re-routing, traffic impact, & fiber utilization plan,

 

Carry out Handover & Takeover of Fiber within the SLA period

Carry out Handover & takeover of Ducts within the SLA period

Carry out Temp & permanent Fiber & duct repair or fiber only repair process

Perform Permanent repair plan, fiber utilization plan, BOQ, etc..

 

 Prepare reports on OSP related issues 

 Co-ordinate field activities with NOC staff , civil & coordinator.

 

Qualifications

2-year Telecom diploma in the relevant  field after secondary education or equivalent training courses

 

Minimum 4 years in the field of OSP
