Qualifications:

• Have completed the 2 year Allied Health College Diploma
• 3 years of experience post-Diploma, and be eligible for licensure as a Physical Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Will have proven experience in electrotherapy, heat therapy cryotherapy, and moving and handling skills

• Competent delivery of electrotherapy modalities, participation in patient teaching and GYM exercise program .
• Provides intervention in accordance with a physician's orders, and plan of care established by an evaluating therapist.
• Assesses the effectiveness of treatment and modify treatment in collaboration with the evaluating therapist.
• Implements education plans and determine additional educational needs of the patient, family or care giver.
• Completes documentation, using the SOAP format, on each patient treated.
• Supervises exercise programs and administer various therapeutic techniques.
• Prescribes and issue patients with walking aids and supportive devices, and instruct patients in their use.
• Conducts therapy activities designed to rehabilitate mentally or physically disabled patients.
• Other duties as instructed by the Supervisor.
