JOB SCOPE

The Technical Instructor is responsible for the delivery of technical training for students including classroom instruction,   Structured   On-the-Job   Training   (SOJT), training aids, and administering examinations in support of the Technical Training Department.

Key Performance Indicators

ESSENTIAL   DUTIES   AND   RESPONSIBILITIES:      

The
following duties are essential to the performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned as required.

•    Conduct approved A&P classroom training and SOJT
as needed, on assigned aircraft type(s) and specialties, including but not limited to familiarization, recurrent and continuation training.

•    Schedule and monitor the technical training delivery
activities    including     classroom     setup,     course
scheduling, producing sign-in sheets, reproduction
of training materiel and examinations, preparation
of course completion certificates;  monitoring  the
condition of training equipment,  and maintaining
training documentation.

•    Provide reports to AMMROC HQ ATTT on all assigned
training activities

•    Provide support to the HQ Instructional Design Team
as needed, and act as a Subject Matter Expert
(SME) for the development and maintenance of
technical training materials.

•    Provide aircraft and customer-specific Information
and resources to individual instructors in support of
the conduct of technical training.

•    Communicate with Operations Management
concerning training activities, scheduling, and simulator status.

•    Maintain AMMROC's commitment to customer
satisfaction while performing job duties.

•    Practice professional and courteous behavior while
interacting with internal and external customers.

•  Create a cooperative environment through beneficial 1

 

 behavior, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, and encouragement to other employees and departments.

•    Interface with other instructors as needed.

•    Accountable for the security of training materials,
projects and business information regarding the
methods and techniques used in the production and
usage of products.

•    Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of
assigned tasks,

•    Able to adhere to a work schedule, as agreed to with
management

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Prioritize workflow on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

•    Travel, as required.

•    Attend, facilitate and/or research  training  to  increase
management skills in responsiveness to workplace issues.

•    The AMMROC HQ ATTT Training Managers may assign
other duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None.

PERSON PROFILE

Qualificatlon(s) Required

Instructor   qualification    and    aviation    maintenance experience.

Experience & Education Required

Bachelors Degree or equivalent from a four year college or    university     (preferred);     five    years     aviation maintenance   experience   on   A-330   aircraft   with   a minimum of two years aircraft maintenance instructor experience (required).

Knowledge & Skills

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OR REGISTRATIONS:   OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

•    Fluency in English, through both verbal and written
communications; able to speak, understand, read and write.

•   Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•   Excellent organizational skills.

•    Knowledge of management principles and their
applications.

 

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

•    IBM PC and/or compatible computer with printer as well as
office equipment: (i.e. FAX, Copier, Multi-line Telephone).
