Nondestructive Test Technician (NDT) Level III
Job Description:
v Manages all corporate non-destructive testing technology including equipment, personnel, training and specification reviews.
v Interfaces with customer representatives for relevant quality/technical issues.
v {C}Reviews, approves, develops and updates nondestructive testing procedures according to code, standard and client specification for technical adequacy in the method in which they are certified.
v {C}NDT Level III shall be responsible for the training, examination, and certification of NDT level II and recertification of NDT personnel.
v {C}Audits the current personnel to current customer requirements in NDT methods as needed.
v {C} Reviews incoming reports and oversees data quality to ensure that they meet all procedural and code requirements.
v {C}Interprets codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the methods to meet industry and customer requirements.
v {C}Provides advice to management on capital expenditures needed for nondestructive equipments and accessories.
v Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
v {C}Degree in mechanical engineering or metallurgical engineering.
v Possesses current Certification by ASNT Level III or ACCP Professional Level III at least on the following methods: Magnetic Particle (MT) Liquid Penetrant (PT) Radiographic Testing (RT) Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
v Familiar with applicable code and standard according to ASTM, ASME, ANSI AWS, API and British Standard.
v 5 to 10 years of practical work experience in the Construction, Power Generation Petrochemical, and oil and gas industry.
v Qualification in advanced nondestructive technology such as Phased Array and Time of Flight Diffraction would be an added advantage.
