Qualifications:

• Degree level qualification in Geosciences
• Minimum 3-5 years mineral exploration and/or open cut mining experience
• Data management experience using acquire
• Exposure to QA/QC analysis
• Experience in data analysis, geostatistics and GIS
• Computer literacy with experience in MapInfo, acquire and modelling packages is essential
• Strong verbal and written English
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills
• A commitment to safety and the environment

Task Description:

• Ensuring safe work habits and a culture of safety is maintained
• Effective application of the company's sustainability policies and procedures
• Develops and maintain QA/QC systems to ensure assay date is valid and representative
• Assists in the development of 3D geological models
• Provides first level geostatistical analysis and validation of geological and assay data
• Maintaining updated maps and geological database using MapInfo and acQuire software
• Provides information to base leaders for weekly and monthly reporting
• Training and mentoring Lao staff
