GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. in Safety Engineering or Occupational Safety from a fully accreditted and reputed University or alternate qualifications, B.S. in Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from a fully accredited and recognized University together with internationally accredited diploma/certification in Safety Engineering of Occupational Safety (OSHA or NEBOSH).
• Must have eight (8) years experience in the development, oversight and coordination of operational safety programs. Must have experience in occupational safety in the construction and /or maintenance field, and be familiar with risk management and management of change procedures. Must be able to write safety evaluation and inspection reports to a professional standard, and must be capable of thorough incident investigation and determining causal factors using root cause analysis. Must be knowledgeable of work permit procedures and safety procdures used in hazardous environments, and be familiar with international safety codes. Must be familiar with HAZCOM and HAZMAT. Must also have experience in planning and scheduling.
