Job Information - Field Mechanical Engineer
Principal/Project:Saudi Arabian Bechtel Company
Job Description and Requirements

 

Position Duties/Responsibilities:
Monitor contractor Quality Control Program. This includes site inspection for compliance with contract documents, approved submittals and mechanical codes. Maintain project safety awareness and enforce company safety policy. Facilitate coordination of contractor’s work with third parties, i.e., SEC, MARAFIQ or other public agencies. Review technical submittals, respond to contractors technical queries and coordinate with Engineering Department on technical issues. Supervise quantity take-offs. Review contractor’s monthly invoices. Review O&M manuals. Monitor as-builts. Prepare daily reports on each contractor. Evaluate construction material testing results. Provide technical support to the preparation of Field Change Requests and Change Orders. Participate in construction progress meetings. Participate in final inspection and prepare punch lists. Review engineering design packages for constructability issues and lessons learned,
 
Position Skills

·         College/University degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 7 years construction experience.

·         He must have experience in installation, supervision and commissioning of above ground process steel pipes, buried large diameter FRP pipes and pipe fittings, large capacity chillers, pumps, HVAC system, fire water, potable water and sanitary water piping networks, fire suppression system.

·         Familiarity with ASME, API, ASHARE, AWS and other international codes and safety standards is mandatory.

·        Must have experience in steel welding and knowledge of welding testing procedure.
Advance knowledge in welding of carbon steel pipes is desirable.    

Note: No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required for candidates who worked in Saudi Arabia for the last two (2) years.
