Position Summary:
Candidates must have a passing PROMETRIC TEST RESULT, or a proof of PROMETRIC TEST confirmed schedule.
The Nurse - I provides day-to-day nursing care services by assessing client's health status and ensuring adherence to established Medical Commission policies, protocols, regulations, and standards. Privileged health care providers who use critical judgment to perform comprehensive health assessments and differential diagnosis.
Nature and Scope of Position:

Provides full scope of community health nursing activities to clients that typically have limited knowledge of health principles, nutrition, disease process, appropriate care, or available resources;
-
Identifies areas of risk and facilitates the continuous improvement of nursing practice and accurate assessment of this within nursing in general practice;
-
Works with individuals and interacts with a variety of health care providers, community organizations;
-
Conducts specialty clinics and health education activities;
-
Interviews and counsels clients; conducts health screening and assessments;
-
Performs assessments of health status, determining the need for and level of nursing and/or medical care;
-
Evaluates prevention activities, programs or care provided to specific populations or in response to epidemic outbreaks;
-
Refers clients to appropriate community or public agencies to obtain services or assistance to improve or maintain social functioning and health; and refers clients to physicians when medical intervention is indicated;

Maintains productive relations with co-workers, clients and vendors with personal integrity, honesty and loyalty;

Oversees the maintenance a variety of pertinent records reflecting clients condition, medications and treatments as required by the Commission;

Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Educates and counsels clients in health maintenance and promotion and disease prevention in order to enhance the individual’s ability to recognize the need for and to seek treatment to meet health care and general social needs;

Coordinates clients care with other health professionals to improve clients health;

Serves as back up to other department personnel as required and my be temporarily re-assigned to meet the needs of the Department;

Exercises sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, integrity and professionalism in all Medical and health transactions to include communicating and working with highly confidential and sensitive information;

Excellent attendance, punctuality and dedication to position; consistently arrives to work as scheduled.

Flexible and willing to work on a shift basis, outside normal working hours and during holidays;

Capable of working different shifts both outside normal working hours and during official holidays;

Works as a team member and capable of working in any section with males or females or/in any associated / affiliated department outside Medical Commission premises;

Accepts working in exposed and open areas; willing to work with individuals with infectious or communicable diseases.
Related Experience, Education & Training:
-
Requires experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; practices of general clinical and public/community health nursing principles and epidemiological methods of data collection; causes and means of transmission methods of communicable diseases and partner notification; communicable disease investigation, and health promotion; personal hygiene practices; cultural differences affecting health care service delivery and community/public health. Skills, knowledge, and abilities acquired through the completion of Masters Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing with 3 years of directly related experience;

Previous experience and expertise in all areas of General Sciences including:
