The middleware administrator is responsible for the Installation, Configuration and Support of all middleware products at the ministry. The products include WebSphere Application Server-ND , IBM HTTP Server, Tivoli Directory Server, WebSphere MQ and the Wily monitoring tools. Responsibilities Design , Install and support all the middleware products related to Application Servers, Web Servers, LDAP Servers, Messaging engines and Integration engines. Ability to work on different platforms including z/OS, Unix/Linux and Window. Hands-on experience with problem resolution tools and techniques including dumps and traces. Ability to provide support for the application developers in applications debugging and to provide recommendations to enhance the applications performance and design. Hands-on experience in setting up Disaster Recovery sites and practical experience in conducting DR testing. Experience with automation process to enhance the operations and efficiency of all the middleware products using different scripting languages and tools. Experience in performance monitoring with proactive attitude to maintain and enhance the availability and performance of all the middleware products and meet all expected SLA’s. Experience with different Security models and techniques such SSL, PKI, Single-Sign-On, Identity Federation and Firewalls. Good exposure to latest Frameworks like Service Oriented Architecture and ITIL processes. Excellent communication and Personal skills that can contribute and add on to the strength of the Middleware team.
