Senior Specialist Clinical Coding
Ensure consistency of National coding across and within projects.
Nature and Scope of Position / Duties & Responsibilities
1.Input into User Acceptance Testing (UAT) specifically for coded term fields.
2.Consult with International Clinical Teams and providers of coding Monitors, Investigators and Statisticians to resolve coding problems and queries.
3.Generate requests for new Medical and Therapy terms and changes to existing terms
4.Ensure appropriate changes are made to the national coding dictionaries. Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of medical and therapy terms using appropriate information tools, e.g. dictionaries, Provide assistance if required for Research teams
5.Provide medical terminology glossaries for review by project CPOEs for Clinical Pharmacology trials. Participate in initiatives to improve the coding processes and systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
I.Formal Education Requirement:
1.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or Health Care related studies or similar education
1.8+ years of professional experience with 4+ years in a leading position in major change programs in the health care industry
1.Communication Skills: Writes, speaks, and presents information effectively and persuasively across communication settings
2.Managing Change: Recognizes the need for change and works to move people, processes and systems in the new direction
3.Interpersonal Skills: Develops and maintains good working relationships with others

6.Fluency in English
