Qualifications

Reports to : TECHNICAL SUPERVISOR / TECHNICAL MANAGER
Order, receive, store, and issue materials, supplies, tools, and parts; input and track data; and maintain inventory control records.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform all typical duties, andmay be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address work requirement and the changing company practices.
1. Request, receive, stock and issue materials, supplies, tools, parts and equipment.
2. Select proper storage areas and store items in bins, racks, shelves, floor or yard areas.
3. Issue materials, supplies, tools, parts and equipment, obtaining proper records and requisitions.
4. Enter and retrieve data from a computerized inventory control system.
5. Track material usage and establish reorder points.
6. Assist in reconciling work order quantities with inventory records.
7. Perform weekly cycle counts, quarterly inventory, mid -year inventory, year-end inventory and physical inventory and prepare year-end inventory reports.
8. Operate a forklift, motor vehicle and other work related equipment.
9. Maintain storage areas, shelves, and outside yard in a clean and orderly condition.
10. Store surplus materials and equipment prior to disposal.
11. Use hand and power tools.
12. Assign item number to tools, materials and equipment and perform clerical dutiesrelated to the storekeeping functions.
13. Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, other department employees and the public using principles of good customer service.
14. Perform related duties as assigned.
SKILLS
1. Maintain a variety of supplies, tools, equipment and inventory.
2. Maintain complete and accurate records.
3. Learn the policies and procedures related to inventory control.
4. Safely operate a forklift, motor vehicle and other work related equipment.
5. Coordinate activities with technical staff and other departments.
6. Be on-call for and respond to after duty hours or emergency deliveries or orders.
7. Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
8. Work independently within established guidelines.
9. Inspect materials and supplies for defects and damages.
10. Accurately enter and retrieve data from a computerized control system.
11. Operate a computer using MS Office, company’sSIMS Software and other office equipment.
12. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
15. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Methods, techniques and practices of maintaining inventory.
2. Methods and practices used in receiving, storing and issuing materials, supplies, tools, and equipment.
3. Commonly used plant maintenance hand tools and supplies.
4. Modern office equipment including word processing, database and spreadsheet applications.
5. Principles and practices of customer service.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is generally carried out in a warehouse environment or a portable tool cabin or yard with occasional work in an officeand outdoors.
