Male30 Years Old and AboveMinimum of 4 Years ExperienceAt Least Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam)Job Title : FIRE PREVENTION TECHNICIAN Position Summary Inspects systems and facilities, inducting alarms, extinguishers, hydrants, terminal facilities, support buildings, and tenant facilities. Ensures that deficiencies are reported, and that follow-up inspections are conducted to guarantee that the fire systems are operational and adequate. Report To Assistant Chief Fire Prevention. Principal Duties & Responsibilities 1. Reports deficiencies to superior writing and makes recommendations for corrective actions required. 2. Checks and tests all fire alarm boxes and enunciator systems periodically. 3. Checks all fire extinguishers and hose reels for proper operation and condition. Updates inspection tags at each inspection. 4. Performs an operational check of all hydrants. 5. Performs periodic inspections of all buildings, looking for fire hazards, inoperative or blocked fire doors, and other potential fire hazards. 6. Conducts fire prevention orientations for designated KKIA employees and contractor’s personnel. Encourages employee participation in fire prevention activities. 7. Conducts fire prevention orientations for compliance of KKIA buildings with the codes. 8. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Credential: Education-Twelve (12) years formal education, related subject highly desirable. Specialized Qualifications Shall have completed formal course in and qualified to N.F.P.A -1003, Airport Firefighter. Shall also be qualified to nfpa.-1031, Fire Inspector. Level I and fire Prevention Education Officer level II. Nationals of Countries. Other than the united states shall possess qualifications at least equal to the above. Experience Seven(7) years experience in Fire/Rescue services including at least three (3) years at technician level. At least two (2) of the last five (5) years must have been spent in an equivalent position at a category six (6) or above at airport of at a large structural station. Languages Arabic desirable. Ability to Read, Write and Speak English is required. Other Valid vehicle operator’s license in country of origin and ability to obtain same in Saudi Arabia. Must be thoroughly familiar with N.F.P.A codes and I.F.S.T.A Manuals.
