Male30 Years Old and AboveMinimum of 5 Years ExperienceAt Least Prof'l License(Passed Board/Bar/Prof'l License Exam)Job Title : CAPTAIN TRAINING Position Summary Performs classroom and practical instruction in an aircraft and structural fire fighting, Fire/Rescue and emergency medical techniques, aircraft and airport layout familiarization and physical training.. Report To Assistant chief, training. Principal Duties & Responsibilities 1. Assists in preparation of training plans and sets up service training programs. Maintains individual training files on all fire service personnel. 2. Instructs in aircraft fire fighting techniques and equipment use, including the areas of fire suppression agents, characteristics of aircraft fire, radio communications and use of hand signals. 3. Instructs in rescue methods, first aid, medical assistance, use of entire tools, protective clothing and other rescue equipments, injury recognition, handling of victims (including use of backboard and splints) and triage methodology. 4. Instructs in the characteristics of structural fires, methods of fire suppression, and the use of hydrant and pump systems. 5. Teaches familiarization with aircraft structures and interiors of all types of aircraft that use the airfield. Emphasize Location of Entry and Exit points, Fuel Tanks and Reviews Seating Arrangements on all types of Aircraft. 6. Educates personnel on the physical layout of all airfield and terminal facilities to familiarize them wit the location of hydrants and quickest route to emergency. 7. Conducts physical training sessions to maintain the peak physical services personnel. 8. Gives detailed instructions for handling major disaster situations. 9. Gives detailed instructions for handling hazardous materials. 10. Gives detailed instructions in arson investigation and handling arson cases. 11. Coordinates training program with other agencies as required. 12. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Credential: Education-Twelve (12) years formal education, university degree in Fire/Rescue related subject highly desirable. Specialized Qualifications Shall have completed courses in and be qualified to NFPA-1021, officer level II. Shall also be qualified to NFPA -1041, instructor level II and NFPA-1003 Airport Firefighter.. Experience Fifteen (15) years of experience in fire/rescue services including ten (10) years in a supervisory position. At least five (5) years of experience in a full time training position and at least three (3) of the last five (5) years must have been spent at a category six (6) years of above at airport in an equivalent position. Possession of a University degree in a Fire/Rescue related subject will reduce the experience requirement by four (4) years. Languages Arabic desirable. Ability to read, write and speak English required. Other Valid vehicle operator’s license in country of origin and ability to obtain same in Saudi Arabia. Must be familiar with NFPA codes and IFSTA manuals. Specific Geographical Origin Saudi Arabia, North America, Europe or the United Kingdom.
