We are looking for quality team members who are themselves looking for a great opportunity with a global team, and have experience as an Aircraft Dispatcher, Flight Dispatcher, Aircraft Dispatcher Instructor, Flight Support Officer for an Aviation Academy, a Part 121 carrier or a Part 135 operator.
The Full Time Aircraft Dispatcher Instructor teaches our Aircraft Dispatcher Certification applicants the Aircraft Dispatcher knowledge, procedures and processes to meet all course requirements as stipulated by our General Authority of Civil Aviation Authority regulations (GACA), which are modelled after Title 14 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Part 65.
The incumbent instructor preferably holds a current GACA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate (or FAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate) and the instructor’s basic job duties are as follows:
To prepare the Aircraft Dispatcher Certification applicants to take the Aircraft Dispatcher licensing examinations, the instructor shall train the applicants in the following subjects appropriate to the privileges of the Aircraft Dispatcher:
(1) Air Law: (i) Rules and regulations relevant to the holder of a flight dispatcher license; and (ii) Appropriate air traffic services practices and procedures.
(2) Aircraft general knowledge: (i) Principles of operation of airplane powerplants, systems and instruments; (ii) Operating limitations of airplanes and powerplants; and (iii) Minimum equipment list.
(3) Flight performance calculation and planning procedures: (i) Effects of loading and mass distribution on aircraft performance and flight characteristics; mass and balance calculations; (ii) Operational flight planning; fuel consumption and endurance calculations; alternate airport selection procedures; enroute cruise control; extended range operation; (iii) Preparation and filing of air traffic services flight plans; and (iv) Basic principles of computer-assisted planning systems.
(4) Human performance: (i) Human performance relevant to dispatch duties.
(5) Meteorology: (i) Aeronautical meteorology; the moment of pressure systems; the structure of fronts, and the origin and characteristics of significant weather phenomena which affect take-off, enroute and landing conditions. (ii) Interpretation and application of aeronautical meteorological reports, charts and forecasts, codes and abbreviations; use of, and procedures for obtaining, meteorological information.
(6) Navigation: (i) Principles of air navigation with particular reference to instrument flight.
(7) Operational procedures: (i) Use of aeronautical documentation; (ii) Operational procedures for the carriage of freight and dangerous goods; (iii) Procedures relating to aircraft accidents and incidents; emergency flight procedures; (iv) Procedures relating to unlawful interference and sabotage of aircraft; and (v) Principles of flight relating to the appropriate category of aircraft.
(8) Radio communication: (i) Procedures for communicating with aircraft and relevant ground stations.
Besides thoroughly preparing his or her students to take the required Certification licensing examinations, the instructor has class organizational, management and administrative duties:
* Prepares and distributes all required materials as outlined in FAR Part 65
* Teaches lecture sections
* Maintains accurate records as outlined by the Training Manual
* Follows the Training Manual Modules
* Complies with department policies and procedures
* Performs other instructor duties as assigned
