GENERAL MANAGER – (WASTE OIL TREATMENT PLANT)
The Zoil Services Thermal Desorption Unit in Takoradi processes a wide range of contaminated materials including the following: crude oil tanker bottoms and marine waste, drill cuttings, fixed tank bottoms and oily sludge, general refinery waste, filter cakes polyaromatic hydrocarbons (PAH’s) etc.
More particularly the role of the GM of Zoil shall include but not limited to the following:
ï· Provide leadership in the day to day activities of the Plant and be held accountable for the efficient running of the Thermal Desorption Unit.
ï· Carry out standardized and appropriate technical interventions for waste management and other businesses within the Oil and Gas sector to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and environmental cleanliness, as well as the supervision of the day-to-day technical operations of ZOIL (a subsidiary of Zoomlion Ghana Limited).
ï· Participate as a member of the Management Team in formulating corporate strategies, policies, plans and budgets and in monitoring the waste management/environmental science practices so as to ensure the achievement of the corporate mission and goals of ZOIL
ï· Advise the CEO on policies regarding Oil & Gas Waste Treatment and other oil businesses required by ZOIL in order to uphold the core values of the company
ï· Formulate and implement technical policies for Zoil and the Oil & Gas sector of the Jospong group of Companies and risk control strategies.
ï· Plan, develop and implement strategies to establish appropriate business relationships to ensure sales and financial targets are met; increase in net growth of new business; and increase in customer profitability
ï· Develop plans to implement human resources strategies to ensure that the number of people with the right skills and competencies are available at all times to enable ZOIL achieve its business strategies and goals. An effective succession plan with the requisite technology-transfer programmes must be in place.
ï· Plan and direct employee development, performance management and career management processes and programmes designed to improve individual and organizational effectiveness of the Technical team

ï· Lead, direct and control the operations of the ZOIL Technical department to ensure that it provides cost-effective services
ï· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the operational strategy for the timely intervention of risk control measures
ï· Keep up to date with the latest developments in the oil and gas industry by benchmarking and other means and introduce innovations as appropriate.
ï· Ensure optimum maintenance of machines and equipment to ensure less downtime of equipment.
ï· Plan and forecast for continuous operation of the Zoil facility in a manner that optimizes efficiency of operations.
ï· Ensure the maintenance of safety and health of employees at the Plant.
Education/Experience
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualification/competencies
M.Sc in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or other related field with 8 years working experience (at least 5 years in a senior management position.)
Knowledge & Skills
ï· Deep understanding of chemical/biological processes for treating petroleum contaminated products/water.
ï· Ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends and incorporate them into the organizational plan.
ï· Ability to develop innovative strategies.
ï· Understanding of Safety and Health principles involved in inducing safe human behaviuors.
ï· Proven planning and organizing skills
ï· In-depth knowledge of strategic planning and proposal writing
ï· Excellent oral and written communication and presentations skills
ï· Strong negotiation and conflict management skills
ï· Very good interpersonal skills
ï· Ability to work in a fast paced and often pressured environment.
ï· Strong leadership, managerial, coaching and interpersonal skills in a “team” setting

Salary offer; $/5000 - 6,700 per month
