The C&C Specialist II will report to C&C Specialist I or directly to the Head of C&CM; however, would be assisting senior employees and will interacts frequently with Division Head, Managers or other stakeholders of assigned area or project and ensures appropriate communication is disseminated. The incumbent is responsible for executing or coordinating one or more of the following activities at the Department & Admin Area level: - Identifies leading C&CM practices that can be deployed to enhance the Company’s C&CM framework. - Identify points of vulnerability in the company's crisis management capabilities, develop, and implement action plans (short-term and long-term) to reduce disaster recovery exposures. - Assess operational contingency plans based on threats and exposure to business operations and employees. - Oversees the development and implementation of a proactive C&CM strategy and conducts regular review and update to ensure that appropriate C&CM processes are embedded throughout the Company processes at all times. - Provide immediate support/expertise during crisis. - Defines scope, purpose and plans for integration with assigned area. - Assist in definingand maintaining Crisis & Continuity roles and duties during crisis. - Assist in defining and reviewing plans for implementation of C&CM in the Company. - Assist in identifying credible crisis (Level 3) scenarios and ensure development of tactical action plans at Business Line Level. - Assist in establishing and maintaining corporate Crisis & Continuity Management (C&CM ) framework and keep developing and maintaining the implementation. - Assist in leading annual business continuity assessments. - Liaise with Government Agencies to establish mutual aid strategies with Saudi Arab Government agencies and external stakeholders. - Maintain revision of Saudi Aramco Corporate Contingency Plan (SACCP) with enhanced incident escalation criteria. - Oversees the implementation and measures performance of Saudi Aramco’s C&CM Framework. - Assist in providing functional assurance through testing of processes. - Assist in supervising alignment of disjointed C&CM processes, this includes adoption of common threat identification and evaluation methodologies and reduction in gaps and overlaps in C&CM activities. - Benchmark with other Oil/Gas Companies to determine the level of crisis preparedness against best practice standards. - Helps in developing and implementing a proactive C&CM strategy to ensure that C&CM processes are embedded throughout the Company or assigned area. - Assist in developing clear plans for implementation of C&CM in assigned area. - Assists the Company or assigned area of operations in implementing the C&CM Framework. - Works with appropriate organizations in Saudi Aramco to ensure that threats associated with the Company’s Business Plan, Strategic Plan and Investment Plan are identified and managed appropriately. - Liaises with Health and Safety, Loss Prevention, and various other C&C processes and functions to enable improvement of their processes and integration of overall C&CM Framework. - Advise/facilitate Crisis Management Team (CMT) during Level 3 Crisis
- Assess incidents Received to determine the event crisis potential and escalation. - Assist in the implementation of C&CM framework in the Company and any assigned area of operations. - Assist in developing and maintaining the implementation and delivery of appropriate crisis management awareness training and exercises through introductory training, tabletop and simulation exercises for the various company stakeholders at adequate levels. - Assist in driving, developing, and maintaining the content of Crisis &Continuity Management (C&CM) plans and documentation including, business resumption, recovery, restoration and disaster recovery plans that allows business continuation in the event of disruptions or disasters. - Assist in developing C&CM training plans and materials and provides ongoing advice and C&CM training to the relevant areas in the Company. - Assist in developing all training needs for Crisis Management, including executive training, and field training of incident managers and commanders that would be in line with Industry and Company standards. - Participate in the Business Planning and Strategic Planning cycles and oversees development of reports related to C&CM. - Participates in complex multidisciplinary/cross-organizations (internal and /or external) C&CM studies. - Work closely with proponents to ensure their disaster recovery plans for critical systems and applications are consistent with the plans developed for Saudi Aramco. - Assess drills and desktop full simulations tests to practice and stress test an organization’s crisis management processes of credible scenarios for all emergency levels for industrial/non-industrial events. - Assist in developing and maintaining corporate communication plan for Saudi Aramco, stakeholders and media, which should include mechanism on how to disseminate crisis information to individuals, media interaction guidelines, links with influential people. - Establish and test a “crisis communication” between company, non-company agencies and Joint Ventures. - Assist in evaluating new emergency mass notification system – in coordination with all response entities and concerned parties. - Assist in developing/reviewing and maintaining Crisis & Continuity Management (C&CM) policies, procedures and capabilities. - Oversees the maintenance of the C&CM Policy, Strategy and Framework in accordance with best practices and statutory or mandatory requirements. - Assist in identifying and implementing solutions to close the gaps in the governance and control environment of the Company or its subsidiaries & joint ventures. - Assist in facilitating, identifying, evaluating and treating key threats identified. - Assist in Coordinating and overseeing C&C reporting across the Company and ensures that sufficient and reliable information is provided to Senior Management. - Assist in Developing status reports and management reports as necessary. - Assist in Developing many of the procedures and tools now considered best practice in crisis preparedness structures. - Assist in establishing and maintaining process and required infrastructure that allows for coordination of Saudi Aramco response to external incidents. - Assist in developing and managing resilience and CM business products, functions and tools. - Ensures appropriate communication with stakeholders. - Assist in establishing and maintaining process to evaluate essential personnel, critical systems, equipment & materials from corporate perspective. - Assist in establishing and maintain standard audit protocol for assessing/reviewing organization-level Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) - Assist in establishing contacts with employees and external stakeholders such government agencies and clients and conduct awareness campaigns. - Assist in Establishing and maintaining a corporate Incident Command System (ICS) structure to coordinate activities between CMT & ECCs/ incident command posts. - Assist in developing strategies for employee/family assistance and support in response to incidents - Assist in evaluating corporate resource needs and develop corporate strategies for improvement by evaluating emergency preparedness areas for improvement within proponents. |
