Relevant qualifications:
- Degree holder of Bachelor of Science in Engineering in a mechanical HVAC discipline or equivalent.
- Experience and qualifications in an associated control field (BMS/EMS)
- Comprehensive work experience of at least 8 years in managing projects or people management in an industrial setting, preferably the pharmaceutical industry with demonstrable managerial ability and budgeting experience, both annual and project specific.
- Experienced in dealing with consultants and contractors, on a management level and a technical level.
- Have knowledge and experience in dealing with environmental health and safety issues.
- Have general knowledge about finance and accounting, purchasing and procurement, contract and commercial law, logistics, strategic and operation planning.
Overall Purpose of the Job (Accountabilities):
- To input into external consultants detail design to ensure compliance with latest state of the art design.
- To review the final detail design, shop drawings and specifications to ensure latest pharmaceutical standards.
- To review the engineering of the mechanical parts of SPIMACO Qassim plant projects and other sites, and ensure that all projects are completed according to SPIMACO specifications and to FDA standards within the set time-frame and budgetary allowance, and with minimal disruption to plant operations.
- To work with the Qassim and other SPIMACO sites Higher Management to determine annual strategic plans for new projects, maintenance and construction, and participate in the preparation of project layout plans, specifications and SPIMACO User Requirements.
- Perform evaluation of performance of contractors and recommendation in the appointment of external project management resources as required.
