ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.
Assure compliance to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
Manage HACCP/GMP/GHP training and development programs.
Assess suppliers' and own company's product specifications and customer requirements.
Ensures compliance with national and international standards and legislation; considering the application of environmental and health/safety standards.
Develops standards and establishes clearly defined quality methods for staff to apply.
Develops quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff, setting up and maintaining controls and documentation and identifying relevant quality-related training needs.
Analyses performance data and charts against defined parameters.
Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures; persuading reluctant staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods.
Liaises with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications.
Monitors performance through gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in food technology/ Food sciences and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and exper Practical knowledge of HACCP implementation or a certified HACCP lead auditor.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES
Maintains a valid Drivers License.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
