Position Description:
Mechanical Service Shops Department is offering a position for an experienced highly skilled Assistance Shop Planner. As a shop planner in MSSD, you will be performing hands on shop planner activities and scheduling through the utilization of SAP plant maintenance module R/3, Microsoft Project and Primavera.

The department’s primary responsibility is to maintain Saudi Aramco equipment. It plays a vital role in the company as it provides the support to all field organizations by maintaining and repairing their equipment.
30 Days
During the first 30 days you will become familiar with the department core operation, key decision makers, area of responsibility, stakeholders and shadowing divisions’ members. You will also familiarize yourself with the processes and procedures of Saudi Aramco through networking, corporate portals and knowledge base.
60 – 90 Days
In this phase the incumbent will be involved in scheduling, planning and coordinating jobs assigned to Divisions/Units. You will also work on man-power estimation hours & evaluation, updating assigned jobs, maintaining and monitoring various planning activities.
Minimum Requirements
A. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship / vocational Maintenance Machinist or maintenance
Electrician program
B. (11) years of experience of which at least (3) years’ experience of estimating job planning and
scheduling activities.
C. Completion of SAP, Microsoft and primavera training program in the planning and scheduling work activities
D. Candidate must have good communication skills in English speaking, reading and writing
Duties and Responsibilities
After 12 Months
A. Receive work packages, checks work scope for clarity and accuracy; ensures received equipment contains all parts necessary to complete the repair of the equipment.
B. Prepare an estimate of man-hours required to do the work using standard hours or by developing a technical estimate.
C. Prepare daily/weekly work schedules for the assigned unit workload
D. In the event of work scope changes re-evaluate as necessary man-hours required to complete equipment repairs and adjust work schedules in line with available resources
E. Controls the movement of work by assigning work tags to items under repair
F. Updates job status in SHOPS after consultation with Unit Heads and Supervisors
G. Progress of work on each active work order, updates the current job status on SAP system after daily consultation with Foremen of units involved, Prepares daily/weekly/monthly reports of each unit workload, performance indices or other information as required
G. Maintains up-to date status reports on all backlogged jobs waiting materials, manpower or other resources. Upon receipt of parts reassigns job to active status
H. Informs Shipping and Receiving unit of completed jobs after ensuring that repair card, OK Inspection tag, etc. is attached to equipment that job is ready for shipping
I. Developing a technical estimate as applicable for equipment repair, set work standard for initial disassembly and preparation of work scope
J. Revises estimated completion date, taking into account current workload in each shop involved in repair, the availability of spare parts, raw material, specialized processes or specialized manpower which may be required
K. On receipt of material or parts re- activate job and enters onto work schedule, Ensures that the agreed procedures are followed prior to shipping equipment to field such as: attach repair card, shipping tag and green OK tag to equipment.
L. Updates the progress status on deliveries of spare parts of critical repairs, and examines current method used to effect equipment repair, investigates means by which productivity of repair units could be improved, turnaround time decreased, quality of repair improved or safety hazard eliminated.
M. Monitors KPIs relevant to his area of work, and ensure all relevant metrics perform in the desired target zones.
