Task Description:
- Monitors installation, commissioning and startup of the plant specific rotating machinery.Â
- Reports the test results and findings through the applicable systems.
- Troubleshoots, resolves and documents failures, performance deficiencies and breakdowns and report findings to the plant group leader in daily and weekly basis.
- Carries out site investigation work as assigned by the Sr. Engineer / Group leader and report's findings to the group leader
- Prepares technical report for the group leader review. Coordination with OEM for missing information or as part of TECHNICAL troubleshooting is also part of this task.
- Executes the plant specific preventive maintenance tasks assigned to RSD on time and reporting the findings to the respective Sr. Engineer / Group Leader.
- Reviews preventive maintenance schedules for improvement and discussing proposed changes with the group leader.
- Prepares the list of bad actors & discussing with the Sr. Engineer / Group Leader and setting and implementing the respective measures as per the approved bad actors management system.
- As assigned by the Sr. Engineer / Group Leader, undertakes/leads and conducts and/or participates in RCA and RCM studies related to the plant specific rotating machinery.
- Makes technical evaluations of vendor bids for the department tools and for plant rotating machinery.
- Reviews vendor documents and drawings and prepare recommendations and comments to the Sr. Engineer / Group Leader.
- Suggests design changes for improvement. Includes identifying need for change, evaluating design, analyzing alternatives, preparing report with recommendations for reviews by Maintenance and Operations management and following through to successful implementation
- Witness critical rotating machinery repair and overhauling activities, provides direct guidance upon call and reports the findings in the inspection assessment report. This covers machinery repair at site or at local shop.
- Fulfilling the department and section SHE objectives including compliance with PPE requirements, SHE related training and the set target for AMAN reports.
- Performs other duties such as maintaining work records and maintenance repair history logs, attending regular meetings with Maintenance and operation and the Superintendent, conducting seminars on rotating equipment and participating in training.
