Minimum Requirement:
EDUCATION: B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
Nine (9) years, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry, such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as an expert in his field.
Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, U.S. and Aramco's Codes, Standards and Specifications.
Preference will be given to candidate with a comprehensive experience in high voltage HV (380 kV) and medium voltage MV (24 to 69 kV) system configurations. His experience shall also include power system design for generation, transmission and distribution systems.
Moreover, candidate shall have thorough experience in cost optimization, value engineering and factory acceptance test (FAT).
Candidates must have excellent English communication skills.
Job Description:
- Provide technical services as well as coordinating engineering work to solve major problems on quality and design in capital projects. This includes maintaining up-to-date comprehension of all electrical design problems and operating difficulties.
- Prepare scoping, review proposals and detailed designs and follow-up on execution of major projects.
- Support the development, and formulate the basis for engineering studies in any of several basic or special engineering fields by analyzing and evaluating data, including scope, effect on existing installations and economic value.
- Provide routine electrical support to facilities that include, but are not limited to, refining, NGL and utilities plants.
- Perform electrical system studies, such as short circuits, motor-starting and load-flow calculations.
- Familiar with equipment sizing, system configuration & layouts and electrical equipment testing procedures and requirement.
- Prepare electrical design packages and specify materials to add new equipment or modify existing systems.
- Perform work for final development of specialized/ technical proposals and proposed projects.
- Recommend new installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization.
- Plan, schedule and provide work direction as required for preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data and assure the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of all phases of very complex electrical engineering problems.
