The job of a kitchen staff requires active participation in the regular operations involved in the catering unit. The catering staff supervisor is required to make the rest of the kitchen staff work under his direction. The kitchen staff provides hygienic and efficient services and achieves satisfaction of the customer. Also for promoting sales within unit the job require participation as a team as well as maintaining good relations with pupils and staff.
Job Description:
Being a kitchen staff the employee needs to cook, prepare and present the food efficiently, meeting the standards of the brand. They need to keep the kitchen area clean, tidy and hygienic all the time. The essential task is to always abide with procedures and policies of the company and be a part of all relevant team meetings. The kitchen staff is also required to complete documentations of the company and the key tasks in every shift and follow the commands given by the head office and management team.

Job Duties:
The major job duties of a kitchen staff may include:

Preparing basic food beverages and other snacks or vegetables.

Simple cooking, serving meals transferring and reconstituting the prepared food.

General duties in dinning rooms and kitchen areas, including setting up, washing up and clearing away the tables and equipments, clearing the kitchen surroundings.

Stocking the vendor machines and relevant duties of providing services.

All duties are to be implemented so as to ensure the health, hygiene and safety regulations.

Duties to be introduced for those in the same grade and up to the job, such that it is competence of the staff official.

Supervising the preparation of all the food beverages and stuff.

Monitoring the work of the entire staff properly.

Dealing with the customer’s comments and complaints.

Carrying out routine inspections of kitchen areas and the making of food beverages.
