MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Engineering.
Incumbent must have a minimum of five years job related experience; have the experience and technical background to readily acquire a good knowledge of the design and operating function of Aramco facilities and equipment; have the aptitude and ability to apply an engineering analysis and appraisal to maintenance techniques and practices, to the selection and utilization of tools, equipment and materials, and to design and handle installation details; have considerable practical knowledge and experience in maintenance methods and practices.
Department Brief Description & Requirements
The requested Electrical Engineer will perform the following tasks:
Steward the detailed design with respect to civil/structural/mechanical/HVAC/plumbing/fire protection system and electrical system works execution.
Provide overall engineering efforts of all discipline on projects.
Coordinate all technical design activities for all disciplines.
Represent the unit during operational meetings between proponent’s vendors and to other Saudi Aramco Departments.
Perform and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by immediate Supervisor.
The incumbent will be required to do all or any combination of the following items of work:
Consults with and advises operating personnel to determine maintenance requirements and establish priorities for maintenance work.
Analyzes requests for maintenance work in his area and resolves with the proponent any controversial items which in his opinion are unnecessary or uneconomical.
Recommends work which can be economically assigned to contractor organizations and develops of work for Arab Contractors.
Develops maintenance schedules in detail; reviews and ascertains completeness of scope of work, drawings and list of materials, estimates or verifies a prior estimate for labor, material, tools, equipment and shop work; reviews and verifies adequacy of estimated project cost prior to and during work progress; anticipates and initiates request for additional funds for indicated overruns of capital or special expense budget items.
Recommends and justifies the use of overtime to meet scheduled project completions.

Reports to Maintenance Engineer I or II on components of a T&I or projects of a complex nature.
Maintains job logs and initiates necessary documentation on contractor performance, material damage or loss claims, accident reports, job completion reports and contract payments.
Checks out completion of maintenance and construction; verifies that tests are complete; documents material transfers, shortages or damages; analyzes and assists in accounting reconciliation, including final inventory.
For maintenance activities that have been analyzed and brought under the control of the Aramco Maintenance Management Program performs the following duties:
1. Determines scope of authorized work and in accordance with General Instructions assigns Task Target Times for each job step. Revises Task Times whenever significant change in job scope occurs after job start-up.
2. Prepares and updates schedules that inform craft supervisors of expected start-up and completion time for each job step.
3. Keeps informed of completion status of job in relation to Target Times assigned. Takes appropriate action to keep Job on Schedule.
4. Investigates to determine causes for variation between Target Time and Actual Time. Informs appropriate supervision of probable reason for variation and makes recommendations leading to improvement of Performance or Utilization Indices.
Inspects jobs in progress, determines status and correlates with user unit forecasts for maintenance work in relation to available M&S workforce.
Prepares Engineering Reports on maintenance activities/methods and means for their improvement.
Reviews Plans for major maintenance, modification or construction work to assure that completed job will be as maintenance free as economically possible.
Performs special assignments as directed, utilizing his Engineering knowledge and experience.
Occasionally acts as Relief for Craft Foreman.
